A day late on the daylight report

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

I forgot to do the daylight report yesterday (it’s supposed to be a Tuesday thing!). I won’t belabor the issue with lame excuses, so here it is:

Today, on Jan. 15, sunrise was at 8:05 a.m. and sunset will be at 4:55 p.m. That gives us 8 hours, 52 minutes and 31 seconds of daylight today! Last week, on Jan. 8, we only had 8 hours, 40 minutes and 15 seconds, so we’re 12 minutes and 16 seconds up!

For McDonald’s Morning Trivia, I asked what was the term for the national boundary in North America that separates the waters that flow into the Atlantic Ocean from those that flow into the Pacific?

Continental Divide at Loveland Pass

The answer is the Continental, or Great, Divide!

Speaking of the Continental Divide, which is at our local Buena Vista Ski Area, Buena Vista is sponsoring some trivia questions this month for their 70th Anniversary! We’ll play again Friday, Jan. 17, so keep listening!

In computer news, the National Security Agency says there is a significant flaw in Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system that could potentially leave your PC vulnerable to hackers, including with seemingly secure communications. Microsoft sent out a patch, but you may want to make sure you received it!

That’s it for me today, check back tomorrow for some more highlights from the Morning Show!
