The deadline to submit donations for the 17th Annual BRRRmidji Plunge is coming up on Jan. 31, so Larissa, being the gracious competitor she is, invited her opponents on today’s first-ever YouTubed Chatabout program!
Plunge chair Eva Fisher provided some details for the event, and the opponents were able to talk about the good their nonprofit of choice does in our community.
Aliza Thoring, Bemidji Jaycees president, is raising money for the Bemidji Community Food Shelf.
Noemi Aylesworth, First Realty realtor, is raising money for Support Within Reach.
Tim Lutz, Bemidji superintendent, is raising funds for Evergreen Youth and Family Services.
Larissa is raising money for the Northwoods Battered Women’s Shelter. The shelter is preparing to open a new facility which would double their capacity, from a 12-bed to a 24-bed, which would result in fewer women and children being turned away due to a lack of space.
Due to COVID-19, only one can take the Plunge this year, so choose carefully! Who would you like to see suffer the most? Put your money on that person!
