The Daylight Report Returns

Here comes the sun, do do do doo!

As we have passed the Winter Solstice, and the KB101 Morning Show is about as normal as it ever gets, I will once again do the daylight reports, once a week, as often as I can remember, until no one cares about it anymore, until I return with it in Jan. 2021!

Today, we had about 8 more minutes of daylight than Dec. 31, 2019. Sunrise was at 8:06 a.m. and sunset is expected at 4:45 p.m., giving us a whopping 8 hours and 38 minutes of daylight today! And the sun is actually out, which is nice after a couple weeks of grey.

On Chat About, we discussed the Beltrami County Board of Commissioners meeting with District 2 Commissioner Reed Olson. Some routine stuff, some not so routine stuff, such as a discussion and possibly a vote on a refugee resettlement order from the Trump Administration. The controversial issue was discussed at city council last night, although it wasn’t on the agenda. I have that story here, but I’ll have a summary of what happened at the board meeting during the news tomorrow, bright and early!

Killer whale, or Orca, the only known natural predator to the Great White Shark

For McDonald’s Morning Trivia today, I asked what is the only known natural predator of the Great White Shark. The answer is the Killer Whale, or Orca! Or as I like to call them, big mean dolphins. So scuba divers, don’t fret the sharks as much as the killer whales. They do not play very nicely.

For all those adventurous job seekers out there, Oscar Mayer is once again hiring for Hot-Doggers, or drivers of the Weinermobile. Apply by the 31st here.

That’s it for me for now, tune in tomorrow for more hilarity on hijinks that you can only find on the KB101 Morning Show!
