To boldly go… where many have gone before!

Good morning and Happy Monday!

Today on Chat About, Evelyn Halvorson will chat with us about upcoming events at the Sanford Center, including the hockey/WILDVIEW event on Friday!  That’s on Chat About, at about 12:15 p.m.

Supreme Court Building, Washington, D.C.

On McDonald’s Morning Trivia, in a series that will continue this election year, I asked a civics question. How many Supreme Court Justices are there? The answer is nine!

In my research, I found that the Constitution says a Justice “shall hold their offices during good behaviour.”

As opposed to “high crimes and misdemeanors” that can impeach a president, a justice could theoretically be impeached by committing bad behavior, which is incredibly subjective.

Only one justice in our history has been impeached, Associate Justice Samuel Chase in 1805. However, he was not convicted in the Senate and therefore, not removed from office.

In Star Trek news, a new series is coming out! Fargo and Legion creator Noah Hawley told the Hollywood Reporter that he is working on Star Trek: IV. Exciting!

In country music news, Jordan Davis released an Amazon Original cover of Jo Dee Messina’s “Heads Carolina, Tails California!” Davis says he’s loved the song since he was a kid and wanted to put a different spin on the song. It’s only available on Amazon Music.

That’s it for me for now, see you tomorrow bright and early for more trivia, a daylight report, and so much more that you can only find on the Morning Show!
